RA

Some of the revisions that I am planning on making towards my Rhetorical Analysis are to:
  • Adding more quotes and direct material from my sources
  • Fixing minor grammatical errors such as commas, comma splices, and some sentences that could be worded better
  • I need to add a paragraph or two that explains the rhetorical efficacy

Also, I have been working on my conclusion and so far I have came up with:

Although both of the articles that I analyzed had some commonalities they had many differences as well. Some of the differences were in the type of audience, organization styles, language usage, and tone. The two aspects of both articles that were the same were their purpose and credibility. The Kids Health Network article was basically an overview of eating disorders. It was a very informational and educational article. The story of Scarlett Pomers was also a very insightful article. The article was informative but yet showed girls that they aren’t the only ones going through hard things during their teenage years. Pomers identified with how the media affects teenage girls and their body image, but yet she is part of the media, which seems kind of ironic. She is part of the media that is pressuring teenage girls to be super skinny, but she was also one of the girls that were affected by the media.
