For the most part I think I understand what the Annotated Bibliography is supposed to be. Basically it is a three to four page paper with a list of possible sources that I might use for my final research paper. It depends on if someone is using MLA or APA as to exactly how the AB will look. I am pretty sure I am going to use APA style. Also, with the AB there needs to be a summary of the source. For instance, if I read an article on the internet than I need to cite the source properly and in the annotation I need to include:
- things that were/weren't helpful about the source
- things that I found interesting about the source
- a basic summary of the source
Here is an example of one of the sources I am planning on using in my AB:
Tan, M., Keith, A., Mascia, K. (2007) My Triumph Over Anorexia. People. Vol. 68 Issue 9, 91-92. Retrieved September 5, 2007, from Academic Search Premier. The article tells the story of how Scarlett Pomers, an actress, overcame her obsession with trying to be skinny. At her lowest point she was down to only 73 pounds and she was only 5’2. Two years later she has now recovered from her disorder and is a happy eighteen years old. It is very interesting that Pomers is part of the media, but yet she is influenced by the media and its damaging affects on young girls.
Does this look right, Sarah?

The only thing you might add is whether the source seemed credible. Otherwise it looks fine.
